Images from the collection of the Bucks County Historical Society are available for personal use, research purposes, and publication. In the past, our images have been used to illustrate calendars, scholarly publications, websites, and articles in magazines such as Antiques and America's Civil War.

Follow the instructions below to order artifact images, secure publication rights, request permission to electronically reproduce an image, and request permission to take original on-site photography. Please note that pre-payment is required before we can begin processing your order. Order fulfillment generally takes 10-14 days.

Ordering Artifact Images
If you are interested in ordering photographs of objects or images in the collections of the Mercer Museum, Fonthill Museum, or the Spruance Library for strictly personal use, please view Terms and Conditions for Photography Orders and complete the Photography Order Form.

Securing Publication Rights
If you are interested in publishing an image, please follow the instructions above for purchasing a print. Additionally, please view the Terms and Conditions for Print Publication and complete the Publication Rights Agreement Form.

Original On-Site Photography
Mercer Museum
If you are requesting permission to take on-site photography, please view the Terms and Conditions for On-Site Photography and complete the On-site Photography Request Form. If original photography will be published, please follow the instructions outlined above for publishing an image.

Completed On-site Photography Request Forms and payment can be sent to the attention of Museum Services Assistant, The Bucks County Historical Society, 84 South Pine Street, Doylestown, PA 18901. You may also fax to 215-230-0823 or send via e-mail to mmeduc@mercermuseum.org.

Fonthill Museum
If you are requesting permission to take on-site photography at Fonthill Museum, please view the Terms and Conditions for On-Site Photography and complete the On-site Photography Request Form. Requests to use the grounds of Fonthill Museum for professional portrait photography (such as wedding and engagement photography) are also subject to Additional Conditions for On-Site Portrait Photography at Fonthill Museum. This form needs to be carefully read and signed before payment can be accepted.

Dates for on-site photography are subject to availability. Fonthill Museum permits will not be issued more than four weeks prior to photo date. Please contact the Site Administrator of Fonthill at 215-348-9461, ext. 14 to request a date.

Electronic Reproduction Rights
